Steviejosh is a small  family kennel.
We breed a litter occasionally.
Steviejosh puppies are family members first but have been taking on the world in their own ways.
Our love of the German Shepherd Dog began many years before we owned our first GSD.
We lived in a flat so we attended shows to see this beautiful breed. It was a great way to find what we liked without being in the thick of it.
When we moved to our house we got our first girl Tradavkar Juz Dancer (Fanta). She was the granddaughter of a dog we spent time with in  previous years. Unfortunately Fanta had to be desexed for health reasons so that put our establishing a kennel back some years.

Scott and Fanta did obedience with the Northern branch of the GSDCV and got their CD title.
In 1998 Scott went through the club’s obedience instructors course and loved helping handlers and their dogs. This came to a sudden halt after an industrial accident.

Stephanie was born in 1998 and had her photo in the Shepherd News as a baby in her pram with her badge on, holding Fanta, at the club rooms.

Over the years we have also owned and shown Newfoundlands.
After we lost our beloved Fanta we contacted Irene at BRITSTAR who bred Fanta’s grandfather. She put us in contact with Noreen of KAZKIRI to find our next GSD. We made an appointment and went to visit Noreen where we met and fell in love with the beautiful Uschka. It was an exciting day for us to be put on the Uschka puppy waiting list. A short time after we got the most wonderful phone call offering us not a puppy but the beautiful Uschka herself. That was the start of our next journey with German Shepherds.

Noreen helped us to get set up to establish our kennel. We changed our prefix and became STEVIEJOSH kennels (a combination of our children’s names).
In 2008 our first litter of 5 were born. That has extended our family into the homes of our babies. We now love to hear of the puppies exploits regularly. Four of the five puppies have their own page on our website with their many talents highlighted.

We have been fortunate to have our puppies all do well in their chosen lives. MIRII is in a loving show home where she brings joy. STAR is training in obedience and tracking and is shown occasionally. LOGAN is the centre of his owner’s world as all dogs deserve to be. VADER is with us and has the love of all five puppies to himself. REBUS is a loved family member doing obedience.

Our dogs enjoy swimming, playing and anything which involves being with those they love and that love them!
